Yaa Serwah PLLC provides general in-house legal services and commercial counsel support tailored to each client’s needs.  As outside general counsel, Yaa Serwah PLLC can coordinate and oversee, among other things:

Outside Counsel

Yaa Serwah PLLC works closely with each client, obtaining an in-depth understanding of its business model and objectives. My goal is to provide the client with effective solutions for its legal concerns. Yaa Serwah PLLC is available to supplement the capacity or experience of a company’s existing legal team, as well as serve as outside general counsel to those businesses without in-house counsel capabilities.  Whether you are a new founder or have multiple exits under your belt – you can benefit from different perspectives and experiences. I learn what makes your business ‘tick’ in order to effectively advise, negotiate, draft and guide your company in general legal matters. With rates that are more similar to in-house counsel than outside counsel but on an as-needed basis to fit your budget.

I love learning new things and I’m known for bringing new and innovative ideas to the table. In addition, I’m deadline and results-driven, passionate about creating new processes, systems, and best practices that help the organizations I assist do their best work.

Yaa Serwah

Founder

Yaa graduated from Cardozo School of Law with an LL.M. in Intellectual Property. Prior to that, she
received her Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law. After law school, Yaa
started and ran an international e-commerce clothing line. Thereafter, Yaa continued on as a lawyer,
where she used her firsthand business experience in order to support the in-house needs of small,
medium and large corporations. Yaa has worked as in-house counsel across various sectors, such as tech, sports, gaming, nonprofits, energy, and finance.

Yaa has a passion for working internally with business units and helping them efficiently reach their
objectives. She understands that a good legal partner doesn’t prevent growth but also mitigates risk to the business.

When Yaa isn’t working on behalf of her clients – drafting, reviewing or negotiating contracts or assisting internal business units meet their deliverables, you can likely find her on the tennis court, trying to hone her forehand.
